Planning
What a realistic first month looks like
Ads show the end of a story. The first month usually looks quite different, and knowing that in advance makes it easier not to give up or overcommit.
The first week is mostly setup
Profiles, test tasks, listings, payment details and reading terms take time that earns nothing. That's normal.
Work comes in slowly
New accounts often get fewer offers or less visibility. Early tasks may take longer than listed while you learn them.
Payments are small and delayed
Holding periods and payout minimums mean the first money may arrive weeks after the first task. Plan the month so you don't need it.
Keep three records from day one
- Time spent, including setup
- Money received, with dates
- Costs paid to do the work
At the end of the month, divide what you kept by the hours you spent. That figure, not an advertised rate, tells you whether to continue.
